Create a key. Use it with Python. Revoke it when needed.

Get an API key
- Sign in
Use your email verification code to open the Dashboard.
- Create a key
In Data access, enter a name and select Create key. Copy the full value now; it will not be shown again.
- Store it securely
Set TICKFOLD_API_KEY in your environment or secret manager. Keep it out of source code and shared notebooks.
Use your key in Python
Use the same account when creating a task, reading its manifest and requesting download links. Your key cannot access another account’s files or tasks.

Create a replacement, update your integration, then revoke the old key in Data access. Revocation blocks new Tickfold API requests immediately. An R2 URL already issued remains usable until its own expiration.
